Holy moly – this park is going to be awesome. Feel free to read my first post about it here.
The fellas at InsidetheMagic have posted videos and tons of photos now that the park has done their soft opening here.
I want a wand to pick me at Ollivanders.
I want to try butterbeer.
I want to buy candy at Honeydukes.
I want to bow to Buckbeak on the Ride of the Hippogriff.
Yes, I’m 35 years old and I’m a Potterholic.
Don’t hate the magic people.
We just got back from Disneyworld. Our friends will be at US for the opening of Harry Potter. I can’t wait to hear all about it! When are you going? If the lines at the newer rides at Disney are any indication, it will be complete madness at the HP section! It looks like loads of fun. I can’t say I’m a Potterholic, but I did truly enjoy the books and am curious to see how the final movies play out.
Well, at this point we’re planning for a late fall quick trip to go see the new HP park and spend a day at the Epcot Food & Wine festival since we had such a good time last year. We figured we’d wait a few months after he HP opening to let the die hard fans have their fill first…then hopefully by late fall once school has started, things will be quieter. 🙂
I can’t wait to hear all the detais of your trip (I read about the luggage fiasco – I’m shocked!!!!).
They just showed a special on NBC about HP. You may be able to find it online, or maybe you’re close enough to pick it up, I don’t know. It looks amazing, though! We have friends who will be there during the park opening. I’ll let you know what they think!
Our trip was really fun. We went full-tilt morning to evening most days. I wore a pedometer and the highest mileage I had was 11 miles! Average was between 7 and 9 miles a day. That’s alot of walking! Oddly enough, after 7 miles of walking, I really didn’t feel it. the 11 mile day, well, my feet and knees were pretty tired at the end, but not terrible. The funny thing, my husband walks for a living, he’s a retail manager. And I outlasted him! I was surprised!
I hope your plan works and it’s not as crazy crowded as it will be this summer!
