What’s not to like?
Made this for supper this evening, served over rice and paired with a nice Chilean Carmenere (Errazuriz 2009).
The whole house smelled delicious while it was in the oven…and it tasted amazing too – the meat was really tender. I substituted tarragon for thyme since my Loblaws didn’t have fresh thyme this week. It was the first time I cooked with tarragon so that was cool. Just tied 3 branches of fresh rosemary and 2 branches of tarragon and tossed it into the pot. Easy.
The recipe total is now at 75 recipes completed of 90. I scanned the ingredients of the remaining ones and short of ordering them online, I may not be able to find them where I live (i.e. white truffle butter and fromage blanc). Ina mentions the site where she buys hers, but I’ll have to check how much it is to ship to Canada to see if it’s worth it. I may have to cross them off as un-doable but I’ll see.
