Saw this movie on the weekend. I love Meryl and enjoy everything she does – she’s just brilliant. And this movie is no exception. I think she’s a shoe in for Best Actress on Sunday at the Oscars. I was very interested in learning about a part of history I hadn’t been very familiar with. I enjoyed learning about Margaret Thatcher’s life and challenges, seeing her steely resolve and determination. It was a serious film, with some (few) lighter moments. All in all, I’m glad I watched it, as with any Meryl film and left the theater satisfied.
Side note: During the previews, we got to see the first trailer for the new Bourne Legacy film starring Jeremy Renner as the new Bourne (“because there wasn’t only one”) – looking forward to that as well.
