I made this one for dessert last night and served it over vanilla ice cream. The sauce is even better the second day – it was thicker and had deeper flavours. I can see this as a great topping for cheesecake as well.

I don’t know what it is about roasted plums – they’re so delicious and have a richness to them when they’re cooked. The raspberries add a touch of colour and tartness. This recipe can be used with any fruits you like or are in season; it’s very versatile.

I mean seriously…what’s not to love about the foods of summer!? Our local Loblaws had a makeover and expanded the produce area – I’m in heaven. And even though it’s just Chris and I, we’re totally going to eat all of it over the course of a week.

Avocados, garlic, red onion, yellow/red/orange tomatoes, peaches, nectarines, lemons, limes, oranges, plums, peppers, jalapenos… And the rest are in the fridge: raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, basil, grape tomatoes…

Mango, blueberries, yogurt, Weight Watchers whole wheat bagel with transfat-free olive oil-based margarine. Coffee. This is what breakfast usually consists of every day but there’s double the fruit today (due to a lack of communication between my husband and I). 🙂
